It Takes What It Takes!

When it really comes down to it we really should eliminate having options when we need to get things done.
Let me ask you a question. If you are on the path to wellness and better health and I placed an apple and a donut with sprinkles on the table, would it take advice from a nutritionist for you to know which was the better option? What about a glass of water and two fingers of scotch? You obviously know what's best, right?
Instead of burdening yourself by always having to choose between this or that action or behavior, adopt the mentality of 'IT TAKES WHAT IT TAKES'!
Remember, what we focus on the most becomes our mindset. Our mindset dictates our behavior. Our consistent behaviors produces outcomes/goals. What outcomes and goals do you desire?
We've all set goals and hit them. We've also had goals in which we missed the mark and didn't accomplish. I don't know about you, but those times I've missed hitting a particular goal I can retrospectively look back and take full responsibility for not doing so. Whatever the reason may have been, it was all on me. No excuses. No victimhood. It was my fault. Honestly though, my stumbles are what build me. It's impossible to become a master at something if the seas are always calm!
One of my favorite athletes of all time is Kobe Bryant. Yes, he was a great basketball player, but his legend has grown more with me since his untimely death. The stories told about him by players, trainers, coaches, etc. are legendary. I was watching a clip of one of his interviews and Kobe said that every off-season he made a non-negotiable agreement with himself that he would do everything it took to get better as he prepared for the next season. Those words have resonated with me ever since. When I'm in the midst of a tough workout and flirt with cutting it short, I hear his voice, "non-negotiable". When I have 5 sets to do and want to quit after 4, I hear those words. THERE ARE NO CHOICES! I told myself 5 sets in the beginning, I'm doing 5 sets! Non-negotiable! Check out the link below of the referenced clip:
Find what keeps you at a high level of discipline. Eliminate choices when it comes to striving towards success. Do what it takes to get there. Nothing less!
Thanks for your time.
Wellness is the only choice.
Do what it takes!
